In the Straight Run event you have to run your boat in a straight line over quite some distance across the lake through two rows of buoys. Higher points are given the nearer you can get to the centre buoy. That sounds simple doesn’t it – but you have to do this without touching you transmitters rudder stick! But you can adjust the throttle if you think that helps!
The format is simple - To carry a 1Kg payload the greatest distance with a fixed amount of fuel, the “fuel” being a 2S 2200 Lipo pack.
Any type of scale boat may be used.
The load may be divided into smaller packages for ease of fitting. (eg. 2 x 500g) The weight must be written on each package. (Felt tip is sufficient) The load must be removable.
A 2s 2200mAh battery must be used.
The receiver MAY be powered with a separate battery.
No other batteries to be in the boat.
All boats must have a low voltage cut off to protect the battery. (Most brushless ESC’s have them, the brushed ones do not.)
The race ends when the last boat stops (or takes the lead) or 1 hour whichever comes first.
